Mountain temple

We were having a discussion about the temple that we visited yesterday up the mountain. Kuhn Gai (Chris' wife), told us that they built it to signify how we are born with nothing, live our lives and then die with nothing. The walk up the mountain starts at the bottom (you are born) and as you go up you pass some amazing lookouts and scenery but when you finally reach the top of the mountain after the zillion steps, the beautiful temple, the lookouts and great views (life - if you're prepared to work hard to get there!). Then you reach the top and they have purposely made it quite insignificant up there to show that it's the journey along the way that's important not the destination! It's what we do in our lives along the way that impacts on the world and other people, not where we end up!! So dad, this ones for you, am definately enjoying the journey! xx
