Hi!
We had an awesome (and very long) day yesterday at the floating markets and tiger temple. Markets were definately an amazing cultural experience, I just love the people here and although we didn't plan to buy anything our bags were loaded on the way back!!.....I just couldn't resist their smiling faces! And to be tapped on the shoulder by a baby elephant asking for bamboo was worth the 30 cents it cost me to feed it some!! I just loved the little old ladies sitting in their boats cooking meals for those of us passing by, truly amazing!

The tiger temple was fabulous.... Our highlight was getting to stay behind with a few others after closing time to be a part of the tigers' play time! It was just so fun!! They really are just big cats, and the guys who get in with them and play are totally mad (in a crazy fun type of way!) but boy did they have some fun! As soon as they were let off their leads, those tigers went crazy!! Jumping and leaping and swimming and we were standing right in the middle of them!!

Bridge over river Kwai was good, but we were so tired by the time we got their I don't think we really gave it the credit it deserved in terms of its history and military significance.

I continue to be truly amazed by the happiness of the people here. There is no hurry, no urgency to anything they do or expect. To see their faces beam when we say thankyou in Thai is still one of my best moments here.....
