Day 4

Half way with mixed feelings! Excited to have made it and now that my legs and bum are starting to hurt, appreciate the opportunity to rest tomorrow! But I am also enjoying myself so much that I don't want the ride to end!! We're doing great time, so are turning up at our motels well ahead of time and with plenty of opportunities to explore the lOcal towns and people. We are going to cross the border into Laos tomorrow for the day, which should be great! Covered in mud again so just waiting for a nice hot shower then we have a cruise on the Mekong before dinner! Might have a few drinks tonight as I don't have to get up early or ride!! We have been in bed pretty early most nights. Lots of supporting each other through the Kms today, as it's getting harder and our legs are fatiguing quicker. Also longer days as the first two were only quite short. Our room tonight looks out over the river, just spectacular! xo
